Bob the Builder Traveling Exhibition, The Children's Museum of IndianapolisThe Children's Museum of Indianapolis chose MurphyCatton to participate in design development, engineering and fabrication of the Bob the Builder traveling exhibition consisting of two identical 3,000 square foot interactive traveling exhibitions. The final product, which traveled for 5 years, has met and exceeded the museum's expectations while taking on unprecedented numbers of visitors throught the United States and Canada. MurphyCatton is familiar with issues involving liscenced products and the Bob the Builder exhibition was no exception. Samples were made of every item, many were prototyped to simulate their operation and color matching had to be exact. The biggest challenge was in modifying Bob's construction equipment to meet ADA requirements while keeping the visitor experience at optimal levels. Our ability to mesh sculpting and thematic painting with complex construction techniques set us apart and provided the level of expertise that the museum was seeking. Back to Children's Environments
