Children's Museum of WilmingtonWhen the Children's Museum of Wilmington decided to move to a new space, MurphyCatton was chosen to work with their designer to develop, engineer, fabricate and install a variety of highly immersive and interpretive exhibits in their new museum. The historic building brought a few challenges, such as 16" thick walls of soft brick, which made fastening difficult. But as innovative exhibit fabricators, MurphyCatton not only solved the problem, but was able to build exhibits that are working as planned and are holding up to the rigors of heavy visitor volumes. From the air cannon on the pirate ship, to the circus area with an elephant riding a unicycle on a tightrope, these exhibits are proven to engage the visitor while challenging the minds of all ages. |
