Emily Oaks Nature CenterIn 2002, the Skokie Park District unveiled a new natural history exhibition at the Emily Oaks Nature Center. The "Woodland Wander Inn" introduces visitors to the exploration of the outdoors. The focal point of the 1,400 square foot exhibit is a large red oak tree that features interactive elements within its boughs. There are also learning opportunities about animal habitats, sounds and smells of the forest. MurphyCatton played an intricate role in the design development, fabrication, and installation of this exhibit. The exhibition was designed for future expansion and additional components are already being conceptualized. |
