The International Bluegrass Music Museum in Owensboro, Kentucky selected MurphyCatton to develop the final designs and fabricate the exhibits for the first museum dedicated to the world of Bluegrass Music.  This three-story museum, with a large first floor themed gift shop, shares the excitement of Bluegrass Music, and showcases unique artifacts and memorabilia of many great artists.  MurphyCatton's goal was to ensure that the story transformed into an experience that all ages could appreciate.  The museum features audio-visual show-and-tell areas, themed dioramas, and large glass display cases with parabolic speakers.  Wooden banjos and mandolins, two of the mainstays of this art form, are thematically integrated into the cash wrap of the gift shop.  When one enters the museum through the gift shop, you immediately begin to sense the fun and excitement of the music.
