Kohl Children's MuseumYoung maestros are free to experiment making their own music in this unique exhibition at the Kohl Children's Museum, fabricated by MurphyCatton. This interactive, hands-on learning experience helps stimulate developmental education for children ages infant to eight years old. Children learn about rhythm, vibration, tension, composition, melody and movement. Children strike wrenches and bolts to listen to differences in pitch, and are able to record their performances to listen to their creations. The music-makers play horns on the Buzz Tube, which enforces changing amounts of air over the reeds of the horn. At the Notation Station, kids align music notes by sliding them up and down along the wall to create a song, and once finished, they can listen to the music they designed. |
