Berenstain Bears Traveling Exhibition, Lied Discovery Children's MuseumThis 1,000 square foot traveling exhibition was produces in conjunction with the Lied Discovery Children's Museum. In this role-plaing environment, children were allowed to "try on" different aspects of the adult world. They explored their fears, "shared" household duties and were the teacher for their class-just to name a few activities. This modular exhibit traveled to a consortium of children's museums throughout the United States over three years. The design and engineering allowed for a multitude of custom floor plans of the exhibition, limited only by the individual venue and their imagination. All the finishes and interactive elements were engineered to be "user-friendly" because all paints selected were durable, commercial and water-based allowing for ease in touch-up. All interactive elements were constructed with easy access panels to the mechanical workings and all hardware was specified to be replaced easily using local suppliers. |
