The center features two large murals and artificial trees that emulate the authentic types of trees found in the park. The center features two large murals and artificial trees that emulate the authentic types of trees found in the park. These trees are rooted in the floor and brush the ceiling, with their foliage acting as a canopy across the blue sky. The lighting is also designed to create a sense of daylight as it streams through the leaves of the trees. Another important feature of the center involves a mass of sandstone, functioning as an interactive kiosk with a touch screen. Guests are able to learn about the Pine Mountain State Park through the information displayed on the monitor. The sandstone is a sculpted element that blends into a theatrical illustration of stone outcroppings that appear naturally in the park. |
