Reading Adventureland Exhibition, Strong National Children's Museum of PlayThe Reading Adventureland Exhibition at the Strong National Children's Museum of Play makes children's dreams come true as they walk into a world filled with their favorite characters. The exhibition is like entering into a life-sized pop-up book where children not only get to walk through the an exhibit filled with a real-life version of all the characters, but they can calso interact with them as if they were truly alive. MurphyCatton constructed the fairytale scenes using a blend of their engineering and fabrication skills. The exhibits included the Mystery Mansion, Upside-Down Nonsense House, Adventure Island, Fairy tale Forest, and Wizard's Workshop. Included in the exhibition is the much demanded Jack in the Beanstalk interactive giant whose pneumatic arms and head can be moved by the child's control. He became so popular that his arms were cycling an average of every 6 seconds since the museum opened. |
