Estimating * MurphyCatton provides accurate estimates for every stage of design. Whether it is a concept or construction design, MurphyCatton provides realistic cost estimates for your project.
Probable Cost Estimates * We will provide preliminary budget analysis of projects in the early stages of concept, used for fundraising and budget development.
Project Management * Our approach to working with you is a collaborative and dynamic process beginning with our guarantee of optimal communication. Each MurphyCatton project is managed by one project manager who serves as your single point of contact. The project manager oversees and maintains the project budget, schedule, quality control and coordination of all project participants. The project manager will follow your project from the beginning design phases through fabrication. He or she will also supervise installation and remain involved with the project through every step. This consistency allows for continuity of communication and precise follow-up on all the details of your project.
Engineering * The engineers at MurphyCatton have a variety of duties depending on the size and scope of a project. Our engineers are highly adaptable. Within the realm of one day, an engineer may work on drafting casework for a college athletics department to developing the mechanics of an interactive children's exhibit and then define the elements required for a giant exterior metal sculpture. Because our client base is so diverse, the engineering requirements can change dramatically from one project to another. Therefore our engineers must have the skills to work with 3D CAD software to develop exhibits. The engineers at MurphyCatton take the time to continually educate themselves when it comes to further developing a broad range of skills that could benefit a project. Our engineers are curious and creative thinkers, making every effort to uncover the most exciting way for an exhibit component to capture the attention of its audience or deliver the perfect solution.
Value-Engineering * Every project has a budget and we want to offer you the most for your dollar. Our engineers, combined with the efforts of our project managment and estimating team, will work together to resolve and deliver the highest value for the established budget.
Prototyping * MurphyCatton creates protyotypes for any unique component or interactive prior to fabrication. This step gives us the opportunity to ensure that the integrity of the design intent is fully developed into the final project piece.
Exhibit Evaluation & Testing * We perform extensive evaluation and testing on all interactives prior to the final fabrication and installation. In many cases, targeted test audiences are brought to our facility for evaluation of prototypes. The feedback is recorded and a full report is shared with you and your team to determine any adjustments that may need to be made for the final project.
Full Preview & Warranty * Before a project is shipped to your location for installation, we offer a full preview in our fabrication studio. Our 65,000 square foot shop enables us to set-up your project in full scale and open up the opportunity for you to take a tour and full inspection of your project. Once all is thoroughly examined and approved by you, we begin stages of exhibit development. A warranty of up to one year is commonly offered for all large projects.
Installation & Remediation * Who better to install your project for you than the ones who built it? Who better to teach you how to care for your project than the ones who built it? We want you to have the knowledge and skills you will need in order to properly care for your exhibit and we promise to fully equip you with everything you will need. To hold true to our promise, not only will your project manager travel to your location to manage the full installation of your exhibit, but we'll also send all the fabrication craftsmen who worked on your project to install it, while personally instructing you on proper care, maintenance and any specific requirements of the exhibit components. We will also provide remediation services to your project during the first year beginning on the installation date. Your project manager will be your point of contact and make all arrangements for remediation services. |
